Flip the header toggle to Takeaway

The Dine in / Takeaway switch lives permanently in the register's top bar — what owners call a parcel, the button calls Takeaway; same thing. Tap it before ringing and the next check opens as a parcel with no table attached. Realised mid-order that the 'table' is actually going home? The same toggle retypes the open check on the spot, and any table it held frees up instantly.

Ring and fire — the kitchen knows it's a parcel

The cart works exactly as it does for a table: dishes, portions, notes, Fire KOT. The difference is on the kitchen's side — the ticket carries TAKEAWAY in plain letters and leads with its KOT number instead of a table name, so the chef packs it instead of plating it. No parallel system, no second screen: parcels and tables share one kitchen board, clearly labelled.

Settle whenever your counter settles

Pay-at-pickup or pay-first is your policy, not the software's: nothing forces payment before the kitchen starts. A pay-first counter should flip one setting — 'Clear kitchen tickets on settle' off, in Settings → Register — so a paid parcel's ticket stays on the kitchen board until it's actually packed and bumped. The settle itself is the standard sheet: change math, UPI, part pay and all.

Do parcels get their own bill numbers?
No — and that's correct, not a gap. Every check on a till, table or parcel, draws from that till's one consecutive GST invoice series, which is exactly what keeps the series gap-free for audit. The order handle staff shout — T3-012 — is also one series per till per day, whatever the order type.
Where do parcels show up if they have no table?
In the 'Counter & parcels' strip under the floor plan — every open check that isn't sitting at a table, in one self-scrolling row that never squeezes your hall view smaller than readable. A parcel that turns out to be staying — the phone order that became a walk-in — can be seated onto a table from right there.
Zomato/Swiggy ke orders bhi isi mein aayenge kya?
No — EasyKOT v1 deliberately sells two ways: dine-in and parcel. There is no Zomato/Swiggy integration, and we say that plainly rather than selling you a 'coming soon'. Walk-in parcels, phone orders you punch yourself, counter sales — all first-class today.
Can the waiter's phone ring a parcel too?
Yes — the captain app rings takeaway orders the same way the till does, and they land on the same kitchen board and the same counter strip. A busy counter often runs exactly this way: one person packing, one phone ringing the queue.
Does any of this need the internet?
No. Parcels are checks like any other — rung, fired, settled and printed against the till's own local database, synced later. The whole counter flow works in airplane mode.
